Have we peaked?

Months of training paid off last Saturday when a group of One 17ers plus assorted friends and relations successfully completed the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge.

One friend of the office, who had agreed somewhat reluctantly to join the venture, was seen not to be speaking to the acquaintance who had persuaded her to come along at the celebration dinner in the evening, but otherwise all seemed remarkably well.

Not only did everyone complete the challenge, they were also all present and correct on Monday morning ready for another hard week at the coalface of design. First job was to download the hundreds of photographs that had been taken on the trip.

Apart from the rain and impenetrable fog on top of a couple of the peaks, conditions couldn’t have been better. Judging from the pictures (your correspondent had an urgent appointment elsewhere that I simply couldn’t break) a jolly good time was had by all.

Just over 26 miles up and down the 3 highest peaks in Yorkshire in a total time of 10 hours and 45 minutes. Well done to all involved.

What next for the One 17 Fit Club – skydiving or white water rafting?
